You told us about your drinking habits. You might be surprised by the results!

When we ran our last campaign in September, we invited you to take part in our online questionnaire about your drinking. And you answered in your thousands!

So, as we’re launching phase 2 of our campaign, we thought you might be interested in hearing the findings. And they might come as a bit of a shock.

Of those who responded, six in 10 answered ‘yes’ to the question ‘do you feel tempted to pour a drink most nights?’ That’s a total of 5,566 respondents.

3,714 people who responded – 44% – admitted that a friend or family member has suggested they might be drinking too much.

Almost half, 48% (4,213 respondents), told us their behaviour changes after a drink. And nearly three quarters (71%), a total of 5,958 people who responded, admitted they find one drink just isn’t enough.

Are you surprised by the findings? Do you ever feel worried about your drinking? Many people are conscious of their relationship with alcohol. It’s easy for drinking to become a daily habit and many people find their behaviour changes as a result.

Taking at least two or three drink free days every week is a good way of cutting down to 14 units or under (the recommended weekly guidelines) and reducing the risk of some types of cancer and other serious health problems.

The One You Days Off app is a simple and easy way to track the days you drink alcohol and the days you don't. Take this positive step and you could feel healthier, lose weight and save money.
